A Deep Dive for Growers Ready to Go Further

World-renowned soil and plant health educator Joel Williams (Integrated Soils) returns to Tasmania for an advanced, discussion-focused Masterclass designed for growers already exploring regenerative approaches to plant nutrition.

This is not an introductory workshop.

Ideally, attendees will have previously attended a Joel Williams event (or have a solid grounding in soil biology and plant nutrition concepts). This session is designed to build on that foundation and move into deeper integration and application.

This Masterclass will explore how soil biology, plant physiology and nutrient management intersect — and how to translate that understanding into confident, practical decisions on farm.

Key focus areas include:

  • Plant–microbe signalling and rhizophagy — understanding how roots and microbes interact to drive nutrient acquisition

  • Moving from “feeding nutrients” to feeding biological systems

  • Using differential sap testing as a decision-making tool — without chasing numbers

  • Interpreting plant data in the context of soil processes

  • Improving fertiliser efficiency while maintaining yield and quality

The afternoon will include an applied case study session, working through real test results to unpack interpretation, patterns and management responses in a practical, interactive format. There will also be plenty of opportunities for Q&A.

Delivered in the thoughtful, engaging and community-led style Soil First is known for, this will be a day of depth, discussion and shared learning, we cant wait to see you there!

Ticket price includes morning tea and lunch and is partly funded through our grant from the Drought Resiliency Hub.
